Fiat Terms of Use
Last updated: May 23, 2026
These terms govern the use of the Fiat mobile app. By using Fiat, you accept these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
1. Developer and contact
Developer/editor: Carlos Reinhards Hervás, Spain.
Contact email: fiat.app@outlook.com.
2. What Fiat is
Fiat is a Catholic spiritual-growth app for virtues, prayer, novenas, challenges, spiritual paths, a spiritual calendar and personal progress tracking. Fiat is not a social network and does not require an account.
Fiat does not replace a priest, spiritual director, doctor, therapist, lawyer or any qualified professional.
3. Responsible use
The user agrees to use Fiat lawfully, prudently and respectfully. In particular, the user agrees not to:
- Use the app for unlawful, abusive, misleading or harmful purposes.
- Attack, copy, manipulate, reverse engineer or disrupt the app.
- Use spiritual or physical challenges imprudently or against medical advice.
4. Spiritual content and personal limits
Fiat may include demanding challenges, prayer practices, virtue exercises and discipline proposals. The user must adapt them to age, health, duties, state of life and real circumstances.
If a user has a medical condition, pregnancy, eating disorder, psychological vulnerability, injury, medication or any relevant circumstance, they should consult a qualified professional before undertaking demanding practices such as fasting, intense exercise, sleep changes or physical mortification.
Challenges, exercises, renunciations, fasts, discipline practices, rest-related proposals, physical activities and concrete actions suggested by Fiat are general spiritual and personal-growth prompts. They are voluntary and are carried out under the user’s own responsibility. The user must decide whether each proposal is appropriate for their physical health, mental health, age, personal condition, family duties, work, studies and real circumstances.
Fiat does not provide medical, psychological, nutritional, sports, therapeutic or health services. No content in Fiat should be understood as diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, psychological advice, exercise prescription or health recommendation. If the user experiences distress, anxiety, persistent sadness, self-harm thoughts, illness, injury or any risk situation, the user should not perform the challenge and should contact qualified professionals or emergency services where appropriate.
5. Minors
Fiat is not specifically directed to children. Minors should use it with parental or guardian supervision where appropriate. In Spain, children under 14 need parental or guardian consent when consent is the basis for data processing.
6. Rewarded ads and unlocked content
Some content or days may require watching a complete rewarded ad. Unlocking only takes effect when the advertising provider confirms the rewarded view. Ad availability can vary by country, device, connection, consent choices and provider decisions.
7. External links
Fiat may link to external Catholic, liturgical, biblical, novena or prayer resources. Those websites are owned by their respective operators and may have their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Intellectual property
Fiat’s own name, design, structure, texts, interface and content organization are protected to the extent allowed by law. External resources, texts, images, marks and documents belong to their respective owners.
9. Availability and changes
Fiat may update, change, suspend or remove features, paths, challenges, links or content to improve the app, comply with legal requirements or fix errors.
10. Liability
Fiat is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the editor is not liable for harm caused by imprudent, inappropriate or unlawful use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
In particular, the editor is not liable for injuries, physical harm, psychological harm, worsening personal circumstances, consequences of fasting, exercise, sleep deprivation, renunciations, discipline practices, spiritual decisions or any other action the user undertakes on their own initiative based on Fiat content, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
11. Privacy
Data processing is explained in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or privacy rights that may apply in the user’s country of residence.
